One of the UK’s most experienced pest control surveyors has joined Cleankill Pest Control.
Phill Brock, who lives in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, previously worked for Green Compliance which was recently bought by a multi-national company. After 30 years in the industry, Phill has been in contact or worked with many pest control companies and was determined to work for one that was reputable.
“I asked around and Cleankill kept being mentioned. They have a reputation for doing what they say they will do, unlike some competitors with hot-shot salespeople. I was also attracted by the fact that the Cleankill team is so experienced,” Phill said.
Phill, who once had his own abseiling company, specialises in solving pest bird problems and working out solutions for customers that are appropriate and safe. During his career he has scaled cathedrals and hundreds of other buildings.
“The problems caused by pest birds can be varied. For instance, I recently helped a customer in London who had seagull problems. The seagulls were dropping pebbles on the glass domes of a prestigious development in Canary Wharf and breaking the glass. It was the male seagulls who were actually trying to attract the females,” Phill explained.
Australian-born Phill will be covering an area that includes London’s South West postcodes, Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor and Reading.
He says working in pest control gives him huge job satisfaction: “Every day is a new challenge. It’s a fantastic job which has involved me visiting the Houses of Parliament one day, Downing Street the next and a millionaire’s flat in Belgravia closely followed by a homeless shelter.”
